A Landscape with a River at Ending

This is the first time I have ever seen this painting before. It is by Aert van der Neer, who was a Dutch painter. He painted this in 1650 with oil on canvas. This painting is called A Landscape with a River at Ending. This artist usually paints just pictures of landscapes and fields. Nothing to out of the ordinary, but he used a lot of details in each of his paintings I saw.

I really liked this painting. The clouds look really cool and quite realistic. You can actually see the leaves in the big tree, though all of the colors are very dark in the painting. I think that paintings of landscapes are very common, but this one stuck out to me. The sunset in the distance over the water just looks real.
