Mona Lisa

Everyone knows of this famous painting, the Mona Lisa, by Leonardo da Vinci. Many people believe that it was painted between 1505-1506 and was finished when he was in Rome or Milan. This is a painting of the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. This painting became especially famous when it was stolen in August 1911 but later returned. It is one of the most famous paintings of all time and can often be seen in many places.

This is also one of my favorite paintings. da Vinci used such details but so slightly. And the look that she is giving makes me really question what she was thinking about while he was painting this and what was really on her mind.
